Campus Visit: Welcoming Marist Champagnat Institute to PTI
Pacific Technical Institute (PTI) was delighted to host the students, teachers, and management of Marist Champagnat Institute for an interactive educational tour at our Suva Main Campus (Procera House, Waimanu Road).
The visit provided visiting students and educators with a firsthand look into technical and vocational education pathways (TVET), showcasing how hands-on skills development opens direct doors to employment across Fiji.
Key Highlights of the Campus Experience
- Guided Facility & IT Lab Tour: Visitors explored our modern training spaces, including upgraded computer laboratories and specialized vocational learning setups.
- TVET & Qualification Briefing: Academic staff delivered an overview of HECF-accredited programs, highlighting career pathways in Information Technology, Business Administration, Social Care, Counselling, Retail, and Tourism.
- Interactive Staff Engagement: Students engaged directly with instructors and program coordinators, asking questions about course modules, entry criteria, and practical learning setups.
- Exploring Pathways via RPL: Staff shared insights on how early technical training and practical experience map into higher national certificate qualifications through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
At PTI, we believe in fostering strong relationships with regional secondary and vocational schools to support smooth learning transitions. Providing students early exposure to tertiary environments empowers them to make informed decisions about their academic and professional futures.
